Maudlyn Moore Loiseau 79, passed away peacefully Wednesday September 27,2023, at Rhode Island hospital in Providence with her family by her side.
Maudlyn was born to Wilton Moore and Christine Solomon on March 25, 1944 in Bethel Tobago and raised in Trinidad. Maud completed high school education and quickly found a passion for sewing. In her early 20s she began working as a seamstress for a clothing manufacturer in Trinidad. She later started her own sewing business and had many satisfied customers.
In 1986, Maud migrated to the United States and work in child care for a few years before training to becoming a Certified Nurse Assistant. She moved to Brooklyn, NY where she met and fell in love with Joseph Loiseau and the two were united in marriage in 1993. They lived in Brooklyn for several years before moving to Reading PA. When Maud retired she and Joseph moved to Tampa, FL. Maud was an active member of a local church where she volunteered her services as a seamstress. She donated her time to relief programs to help countries suffering as a result of natural disaster. After the death of her husband, Maud moved to Rhode Island in 2019, to be close to family. Maud was fun, outgoing, kind and compassionate, she loved going to Bingo, spending time with friends, taking walks in the park, traveling, and attend family reunions.
Maud is survived by her mother, Christine Solomon, and three children: Denise, Davis, and Larry; six grandchildren: Lariena, Zhane, Irene, Quincy, Olivia, Nicholas, and one great grandchild, Shayla. She was predeceased by five siblings: Clothilda, Arlette, Junior, Winston, Neville. She is survived by nine siblings: : Oswin, Dwight, Wendell, Deborah, Voy, Karen, Joyce, Stephen. Maud will be deeply missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends. Rest in eternal peace.
